COVID-19 Booster Vaccinations

15 October 2021

We have now been allocated a quota of COVID-19 Booster Vaccines. We have chosen to order the Pfizer BioNtech Comirnaty vaccine first. We will receive 1170 doses in the first delivery and will need to use these within 25 days. We will begin inviting patients in week commencing Monday 18 October. We will follow the priority groups as advised by JCVI.  More information is available on our COVID-19 vaccination page.

Flu Vaccinations

5 October 2021

We have now received our delivery of flu vaccinations. You will soon receive and invite to a flu clinic.  Our first two clinics will be on Thursday 14 October and Saturday 16 October.  You may also be offered an opportunistic vaccine when attending the practice for another reason. For full details please see our FLU PAGE

The Practice is Extremely Busy at the Moment

15 October 2021

Our practice, like many across NI and the wider UK, is experiencing an exceptional level of demand at present.  In addition to delivering a record number of flu vaccinations, COVID vaccinations and COVID Boosters, we are also dealing with an increased number of patients seeking medical advice each day and appointments now take longer due to COVID-19 precautions to keep patients and staff safe.  Anyone who wants medical advice or an appointment should first telephone the practice.  The medical team triage calls every morning and anyone needing a face-to-face appointment is offered one.  Due to the number of callers the call lists fill very quickly and you may experience long waits on the phone or have to call back.  We apologise for this.  All of our staff are working very hard to try and meet the increased demand but at times it is overwhelming. If your problem is urgent and the call list is full the Clinical Administrator will ask you specific questions to complete a triage proforma to pass to a member of the medical team for triage.  We thank you for your understanding and our thanks to all those who have sent gifts, cards and kind messages as these positive actions help boost our staff's morale through some very difficult and grueling days.
